MUMIN KANOAT LITERARY MUSEUM

On November 7, with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Qohir Rasulzoda and the Chairman of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Mirzonabot Alisher Khudoberdi, the museum and the statue of the People's Poet of Tajikistan Mumin Qanoat were opened in the village of Umarak, Darvaz district. This facility was built as part of the development and construction works dedicated to the 35th  anniversary of the state independence by patriotic businessmen at the cost of 4 million somoni, to pay tribute to the personality of Poet Mumin Kanat.

The monument of the poet is placed at a height of 4 meters, and its surroundings are decorated with marble produced by industrial enterprises of the district.

In the museum, there are valuable works, historical photographs and paintings with well-known figures of the country, state and public awards, which is about the activity and creation of Poet Mumin Qanaat.

During his visit to the museum, the Prime Minister of the country, Qohir Rasulzoda, praised its construction and called it an excellent example of the enlightening policy of the great leader of the nation, Emomali Rahmon. The Prime Minister of the country Qohir Rasulzoda left his inscription in the book of honored guests as a sign of respect.

In order to fulfill the instructions of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, dear Kohir Rasulzod, No. 2k/27-45 dated 19.11.2022; in accordance with the decision of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan dated 13.12.2022 No. 148; in order to ensure further care of the house-museum of the national poet of Tajikistan Mumin Qanoat according to determined order, the literary museum was transferred to the balance of Institute of Language and Literature named after A. Rudaki of NAST.
